The brewery “Le Coti Nere” was founded in 2007 in one ideal location for the production of the beer: the place is cool, it is situated in the middle of chestnut’s wood, near to Napoleone source. The brewery is spacious with granite wall, it is adjacent to a stream that rises in Monte Capanne where there are some big black rocks (Coti).

The two partners, Max and Mingo, attended personally to the design, the renovation and to the achievement of the brewery that, with 2 coppers of 600  litres and with the equipment fully realized in Inox steel, is one of the major beer producer in Tuscany.

The brewery “Le Coti Nere” brews homemade beer using selected raw material and the water of Napoleone source that is particularly indicated in order to brew an exclusive beer, which main features are the spice and aroma of the Island of Elba.

The difference between an industrial and an homemade beer is that this last one is not filtered nor pasteurized; it manteins in this way all the quality and nutritive features of the raw material. Therefore, the homemade beer is not only a drink but even a good aliment. Some of these particular beers keep for years like wine.

At the brewery “Le Coti Nere” located at Marciana, on the surroundings of the cableway, you can taste great beers and savoury dishes with beer jelly and grain bread, visit the brewery system can enjoy the view and the cool air of the valley or remain inside enjoying good musique.

BEERS PRODUCED

DOMINA CROWN WHITE CAP: alcohol level 5%, classic golden Pilsner style beer, modest  alcoholic content, abundant and persistent foam, balanced bitter taste, thoroughly refreshing.
This beer is ideal with simple dishes and pizza.

DOMINA CROWN RED CAP: alcohol level 5,7%; bitter amber style Ale, compact and persistent abundant foam, characterised by a malty flavour, hops give it a definite bitter sensation. This beer is especially recommended with meat dishes, mature cheese, dark chocolate and chocolate cakes.

AFFUMATA: alcohol level 5,2%; this particular lager ALE with abundant persistent and creamy foam  made with chestnut flowers smoked over chestnut wood.
This beer is especially recommended with fish or barbecued meat dishes.

ROSMARI: alcohol level 5,2 %; ELBAN  style deep amber ALE, abundant and persistent foam. It made with elban rosemary . This beer is suitable with any dish preferably barbecued food.

NYNKASJ: alcohol level 5,4%; bière blanche, pale yellow with opalescent reflections, abundant and persistent foam. This beer is brewed from barley and unmalted wheat. Traces of grapefruit peel and coriander, rich bouquet.
This beer is ideal for aperitifs and desserts.

ALLAURA: alcohol level 4,8%; a bay flavoured ALE, excellent flavour, lager with evanescent low carbonation foam.
It is ideal for cooking, especially risottos, meat or fish dishes.
